Three new media brands you should be subscribing to IMMEDIATELY

Kitchen have been exploring the internet this month to bring you the best media brands you need in your life right now. Each have been created by powerful women for the purpose to empower women in their day to day lives and embrace and love themselves inside and out.

1) Curva Magazine

Finally, here’s what all women have been waiting for – a magazine that not only wants us all to be proud of our bodies and embraces our curves, but has banned the term “plus size” from their copy. This up and coming magazine published its first magazine issue just two years ago in January 2013 and editor in chief, Leanna Grant, feels the magazine is a positive platform to turn to for fashion tips and advice.

“Curva (previously known as Curvaceous Inc) was founded from my personal experiences around body image and me wanting to change the perception of the negative message I felt the media was sending out to women and the younger generation. So many women are so body conscious and there was no publications embracing women of all shapes and sizes and that was where curve was born,” says Leanne.

The magazine features beautiful curvy women of all sizes and has featured cover stars such as Gemma Collins and Amy Childs. Not only this but Curva has its own catchy slogan - Be Beautiful. Be Proud. Be Curvaceous.

2) Radio Gorgeous

It’s funny, it’s witty, and it’s honest. Radio Gorgeous is not afraid to take a topic too far. A radio station made up entirely of female voices discussing womanly topics from entrepreneurs, sex, marriage, being single, beauty and fashion. The radio station, based in London, aims at giving women a voice and that is why it is so important that their station is about women supporting women.

Whilst it may seem hypocritical to some that a fitness instructor is telling you to change your body shape – Cassey explains in every video that a healthy lifestyle is not only a happier one but can make you love yourself inside and out, because taking care of the inside creates a happier outside.
